Pipe Fabrication and Erection

Pipe fabrication and erection involve the process of designing, cutting, assembling, and installing piping systems made from various plastic materials such as Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC), Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), and Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE). These materials are widely used in industries like chemical processing, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, and food processing due to their superior corrosion resistance, chemical stability, and ease of installation.
Fabrication involves cutting, welding, or joining pipes using techniques such as solvent welding, butt fusion, socket fusion, and mechanical joining. Each material has specific fabrication requirements; for example, CPVC and PVC are often joined with solvent cement, while PVDF and ECTFE use heat fusion methods.
Erection refers to the installation of these fabricated pipes at the project site. It includes pipe routing, support installation, alignment, and connection to other systems. Proper installation ensures leak-free operation, structural integrity, and long-term performance. Factors such as thermal expansion, pressure ratings, and environmental conditions must be considered.
Using the right fabrication and erection methods ensures efficiency, durability, and safety in industrial piping systems.
